Manual Machinist 

Location: La Porte, TX 77571

Pay: $32/ hour DOE

Shift: 7am-3:30pm (must be available for nights and weekends)

Must be able to operate manual Engine Lathes, VTLs, Knee Mills, and Radial Drills.  Brand should not be a factor.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual machines such as lathes, mills, and grinders to fabricate metal parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or other technical drawings to determine machining operations.
• Perform precision measurements using tools such as bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and meet production targets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:

• Proficient in manual machining techniques, including turning, milling, and grinding.
• Knowledge of tooling selection and setup for different machining operations.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Experience working with plastics injection molding is a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls is preferred.
