A Nighshift BWSC Reservoir Inspector - is responsible for overseeing construction projects to ensure they comply with plans, specifications, and safety standards.

Key duties include inspecting work and materials, documenting progress and issues, and communicating with contractors. The role requires understanding project plans and specifications and ensuring that the work is performed correctly, while also coordinating with engineers and contractors to resolve problems.

Core responsibilities

  • On-site inspections: Conduct regular site visits to observe construction activities and ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Material verification: Inspect and document materials to ensure they meet required standards and specifications, which may involve sampling and testing.
  • Quality control: Monitor all aspects of the construction, from the finished product to the quality of materials and workmanship.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inspection activities, progress, and any issues that arise. This includes preparing daily reports and assisting with monthly and final estimates.
  • Communication: Serve as the liaison between contractors, project engineers, and other stakeholders to address questions, resolve differences, and ensure a shared understanding of the project requirements.
  • Problem resolution: Identify and document any deviations from the plans or specifications and work with the project team to find and implement corrective actions.

NOTE: This is a full-time position with hours ranging after 6pm for night shift ending your shift past midnight for 8 hours until your settled into your position. You will be working 8 hour per day shift minimum; Overtime is to be expected after trained and settled into position.This is a position pay based on experience range $20-$30 per hour.This project timeline is based to 18 months, then you will be moving to another project. You Will Be Responsible to reporting to various job sites, start to finish upon completion moving to the next project.Project Location: RT 288/ near Pearland in Missouri County Angleton Project
