Warehouse Operator (Temp-to-Hire)
Pay: $25/ hour
Shift: 7am-3:30pm M-F
Location: Hallam, NE 68368

Your Role:

The WPS Operator is responsible for monitoring and conducting activities that pertain to packing and shipping operations of rail cars, trucks and super stacks and taking corrective action when necessary. At all times our WPS Operator will promote safe, efficient and environmentally compliant production of Carbon Black and Hydrogen to meet the demands and availability requirements of internal and external customers. 

You will:
  • Direct and execute the logistics of all product shipments to customers 
  • Partner with laboratory, commercial and operations leadership to ensure product shipments meet product specifications 
  • Work closely with laboratory team on sampling and ensuring product specifications are being met 
  • Upon completion of training, move rail car and/or coordinate with outside rail companies to facilitate timely deliveries  
  • Responsible for offloading carbon black into required pack type 
  • Assume an active role in the training on plant operations as necessary to support the overall plant operation 
  • Support day operations of shift organization 
  • Follow instructions and seek guidance from more experienced colleagues to ensure work is completed effectively. 
  • Assist in executing assigned tasks and projects with attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness. 
  • Learn and apply company processes, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to quality standards.  
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous learning and growth. 
  • Perform other duties as needed. 

You are:
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • Experienced in operating equipment (pallet jack, fork lift, manual carts, scanners, computers, etc.) 
  • Safety-minded and must have a strong safety and environmental commitment 
  • Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with fellow employees, representatives of other utilities, outside consultants, and the public 
  • Able to demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills 
  • A problem solver with solid deductive reasoning and drive to solve problems 
  • An achiever and desire to constantly improve self and the working environment 
  • Able to work overtime as required

You have:
  • Technical certificate (AAS in Operations) and 0 - 2 years of relevant experience, or 
  • High school diploma plus 3 years of relevant experience, or 
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the job duties and responsibilities.  
  • Previous forklift certification 1-2 years experience
  • MUST pass background check and drug screen.
  • Steel toe boots, hard hat, and safety glasses required.
